Whoever said breakfast is most important meal of the day obviously didn’t lift. While breakfast is important, it plays second banana to your post-workout meal. Immediately after working out, muscles are sponges, eager to soak up nutrients to repair and recover.

One of the most convenient ways to get these post-workout nutrients is through supplements like Amplified Total Muscle Recovery. But is Amplified Total Muscle Recovery for you? Here’s our full review with everything you need to know before buying.

What Makes This a Recovery Supplement?

The word “recovery” gets thrown around a lot, and can be pretty ambiguous. Amplified Total Muscle Recovery is ostensibly designed to support recovery through ingredients which promote joint health, as well as supply quintessential amino acids.

The Amplified Total Muscle Recovery Formula

Each serving is going to give you 25 g of protein. The main protein source in here is whey protein isolate, a high quality form of protein that undergoes extra processing to remove the fat and lactose. Whey protein isolate contains about 90% or higher protein by volume.

Additionally, Amplified Total Muscle Recovery contains a combination of Chinese skullcap root extract, cutch tree wood and bark extract, and hyaluronic acid to reduce inflammation, boost connective tissue and joint health, and improve flexibility.

You’re also going to get glutamine and leucine, two of the best amino acids when it comes to building muscle and recovering from your workout.

Each serving has 5 g of glutamine and 10 g of leucine. Glutamine helps reduces delayed onset muscle soreness, and also plays a role in boosting the immune system.

Amplified Total Muscle Recovery Reviews
Leucine is one of the branch chain amino acids, and supports muscle growth and recovery by boosting protein synthesis. This drives more amino acids and nutrients into muscles cells.

For me, I was disappointed that there weren’t any carbohydrates in the formula. Simple sugars post-workout increase insulin levels and further drive amino acids into muscles for better growth and recovery.

However, the lack of carbohydrates can be a good thing if you’re watching calories or following a low carb diet.

Taste/Mixability/Availability

As far as flavor goes, I had the vanilla. It tastes exactly like you would expect a vanilla whey protein powder to taste. It wasn’t a strong overpowering flavor, it was more subtle. It also mixes pretty well, I tried in water with just a shaker cup and all the powder dissolved fairly evenly.

If buying online, expect to pay between $45-55 for Amplified Total Muscle Recovery. The only flavors currently available are chocolate and vanilla.

All Your Recovery Needs?

Overall, this is going to be a pretty solid recovery supplement thanks to the extra glutamine and leucine. Like I mentioned above, the lack of carbohydrates is either a good or a bad thing depending on your goals and daily macros.

I would recommend Amplified Total Muscle Recovery if you’re looking for an all in one recovery supplement that improves joint health, boosts muscle growth, and reduces soreness.
