From the self-proclaimed “Brofessor” and others involved with the popular BroScienceLife Youtube channel, is a brand new thermogenic activator called AK-57.

Launching alongside a new pre-workout called Gnar Pump, the brand is going full hyperbole in the hopes of leveraging the successful tone of their channel. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Ingredient Analysis

Broscience Reviews
AK-57 features a kitchen sink formula, meaning they kind of threw a little bit of everything in here. Here’s some highlights of the main fat burning ingredients that you’ll find.
Citrus Aurantium Extract (30% Synephrine)- A beta-agonist similar to ephedrine, synephrine boosts metabolism and enhances lipolysis.

Yohimbe PE (8% Yohimbine)- Yohimbine acts an alpha 2 receptor antagonist, increasing lipolysis and fat burning by elevating release of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine.

Evodia Rutaecarpa PE (10% Evodiamine)- Evodiamine is a compound which increases thermogenesis and heats up your core temperature. Increased thermogenesis increases metabolic rate and helps you to burn more calories.

What’s more, there are some interesting ancillary compounds you’re going to come across as well. AK-57 also has white willow bark extract to help alleviate pain and act as an anti-inflammatory.

There’s also theobromine which promotes a positive mood and energy, and black pepper extract which enhances absorption.

My Experience With AK-57

Hyperbolic marketing aside, I would say that AK-57 is pretty comparable to the average fat burner. Obviously I didn’t hold out much hope for the prospective “merciless fat slaughter” promised on the label, but I did experience a distinct thermogenic effect.

About 20 minutes after taking it my core temperature was noticeably warmer, and I felt myself sweating more throughout the day. Since the ingredients are all proprietary, it’s hard to say exactly how much caffeine is in here, but it didn’t make me very jittery.

AK-57 Price and Availability

A 30 day supply of AK-57 is available at the official Brosupps website for $26.99, and has yet to roll out to other retailers.

AK-57 Final Thoughts

AK-57 isn’t going to satisfy the stim-heavy thermogenic seeker anytime soon, but it’s serviceable as a way to boost metabolism and burn some extra calories throughout the day. With a favorable price point and research-supported ingredients like synephrine, you could a lost worse than AK-57.
