ProSupps Halotropin is one of the most popular natural testosterone enhancers and anti-aromatase supplements available. Last week I was training at the gym and chatting it up with one of the most ripped dudes I’ve seen in a while. We started talking about supplements and I asked him what he was taking. He said ProSupps Halotropin and went on to rave about it. At first I thought he said Halotestin, but he just lol’d. He said he’s never taken anything illegal, but he doubted that anything illegal would work as well as Halotrpin.

So why does Halotropin work so good? And what is this ‘anti-aromatase’ business? Let’s take a closer look at this test boosting, estrogen suppressing, libido and strength enhancing supplement.

What is Halotropin?

According to ProSupps.com, “Halotropin™ helps your body produce more testosterone while simultaneously unbinding and utilizing your existing free flowing testosterone, and it keeps estrogen in check at the same time. The end result is an explosion in libido, strength, energy, and muscle mass. Unleash your full potential in the gym (and in the bedroom)!”. [1] Sweet Baby Jesus, as a 36 year old guy (whose test is decreasing… a little) all of those things are what I want – NOW!!

What Does ‘Anti-Aromatase’ Mean?

Aromatase is the enzyme found in your body that converts testosterone into estrogen. As your body produces more testosterone then more estrogen is produced because of the testosterone to estrogen conversion caused by the aromatase enzyme. An ‘anti-aromatase’ supplement prevents the conversion of testosterone into estrogen so that you can reap all of the rewards of increased test – libido, strength, fat loss, lean muscle.

There are several benefits to keeping estrogen levels in check, most notably avoiding gynecomastia as well as the reduction of water retention and fat storage.

Do You Need Halotropin?

Only if you want to increase your testosterone levels naturally. Testosterone levels normally rise during puberty and increase up until around the age of 30. Around that time, sometimes sooner, sometimes later, you start to see your testosterone decline. You find it harder to build muscle, harder to lose fat, harder to stay harder. This is due to low testosterone.

By taking natural testosterone supplements on a regular basis you may increase your body’s normal hormone production. Increasing your testosterone will help you stay lean, build muscle, help you lose body fat and may boost your libido.

So, you tell me. Will you benefit from increasing your testosterone levels?

Halotropin Ingredients

Trigonella Foenum-Graecum – Trigonella Foenum-Graecum is the scientific name for Fenugreek. A recent human study shows that college men supplemented with Trigonella foenum-graecum for 8 weeks had significant increase in total and bioavailable testosterone levels, as well as a decrease in body fat, when in conjunction with a resistance-training program. [3]

A recent animal study indicates that furostanol glycosides isolated from Fenugreek appear to impart anabolic activity in male rats, without increasing total testosterone.* It is theorized that the mechanism for this action may be due to increased availability of testosterone by dissociating it from the stored form, i.e. sexual hormone binding globulin (SHBG). [2]

Bulbine Natalensis – A study on Bulbine Natalensis suggested that subjects helped support their free testosterone levels by over 300% while supporting a healthy estrogen balance by approximately 20-35%. [5]

Rhodiola Rosea – Rhodiola Rosea root supports the functioning of the adrenal glands and encourages a healthy response to physical, emotional and mental stress stress-related hormones.

White Button Mushroom Extract – A recent study suggested that white button mushroom phytochemicals help inhibit aromatase activity. This helps Halotropin reduce aromatase activity, thereby reducing estrogen levels. [4]

Bulgarian Tribulus – Tribulus causes the release of Luteinizing hormone, which in turn signals the testes to produce more Testosterone. And of all the testosterone boosting supplements on the market, Tribulus is the most powerful. Genuine Tribulus that boosts Testosterone is only found in Bulgaria and contains many powerful compounds that are vital for results.

Maca Root – Maca is rich in amino acids, phytonutrients, fatty acids, and vitamins and minerals. Maca has been shown to support and balance the hormonal systems of both men and women.

Ashwagandha Root – Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb which helps your body adapt to stress. Stress is one of the many factors that leads to a decrease in testosterone.

Avena Sativa – Avena Sativa helps to break bound testosterone from Sex Hormone Binding Globulin releasing it into circulation for use in the body.

Urtica Diotica – Urtica Diotica, or Stinging Nettle Extract Stinging Nettle Extract is an important component of any effective natural testosterone booster. Testosterone that is bound to SHBG is considered ineffective. Only free testosterone exerts the effects that are attributed to the hormone. Urtica Diotica captures and binds SHBG and therefore prevent SHBG from capturing circulating free testosterone. Without this ingredient and all increases in testosterone will be nullified by SHBG and rendered useless by the human body.

Eurycoma Longifolia (100:1) – Eurycoma Longifolia Jack is derived from the huge vertical roots of the Eurycoma Longifolia trees that are found in Southeast Asian rainforests. Eurycoma Longifolia Jack contains quassinoids such as eurycomalacton, eurycomanon, and eurycomanol, which are reported to have aphrodisiac properties and to increase testosterone levels in men [6].

Eleuthero Root – Eleuthero Root, or Siberian Ginseng, is an adaptogen herbs that helps the body adjust to stress. In a recent Italian study of sixty men found that when used it increased the testosterone levels, as well as the number and motility of sperm cells.

Mucuna Prurienes (20% L-Dopa) – Mucuna Pruriens is an Ayurvedic Herb that has L-Dopa-increasing qualities. [7] L-Dopa and Dopamine have also been suggested to help reduce prolactin, a hormone that suppresses male testosterone production.[8]

Dodder Seed – Dodder Seed Extract has been shown to activate hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) in targeted tissues and signal for the production of luteinizing hormone, which supports testosterone levels in males.

Schisandra – Schizandra is a woody vine with clusters of red berries that is found in northern and ortheastern China and adjacent regions in Russia and Korea. Athletes have used schisandra in the belief that it will increase endurance and combat fatigue under physical stress. [9]

Polygonum (standardized for 50% Resveratrol) – Polygonum, or tuber fleece flower, is a Chinese herb that grows in eastern Asia. In a recent study it was suggested that tuber fleece flower is a significant inhibitor of Fatty Acid Synthase. The animals in the study had both reduced food intake and reduced body weight with tuber fleece flower supplementation.[10]

Diindolymethane (DIM) – Diindolylmethane (DIM) is formed by acid catalyzed dimerization of indole-3-carbinol. DIM has unique and distinct hormonal benefits. DIM supports the activity of specific enzymes that improve estrogen metabolism in both men and women. These metabolites help free up testosterone by bumping it off the testosterone-binding proteins.

ZMA – ZMA is a patented combination of zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6 developed by Victor Conte (founder of BALCO Labs). ZMA has been clinically proven to increase anabolic hormone levels and muscle strength in trained athletes.

In a recent study on ZMA “a group of competitive NCAA football players who took ZMA nightly during an 8 week spring training program had 2.5 times greater muscle strength gains than a placebo group.” The strength of the ZMA group increased by 11.6% compared to only a 4.6% increase in the placebo group.

ZMA has failed in two out of three placebo controlled studies. The “recent” study you alluded to above was actually conducted 15 years ago and was funded by none other than Victor Conte, the creator and (at the time) primary distributor of ZMA. As if the conflict of interest here wasn’t enough, the increases in strength were self reported, leaving the door wide open for subjective bias. ZMA is only beneficial in individuals who are either Zinc or Magnesium deficient, and the same benefit could be acheived with a simple Zinc or Magnesium supplement.

You also fail to acknowledge that most of the “test-boosters” in the Halotropin formula have only demonstrated efficacy in mice or Testosterone deficient humans and those that have demonstrated slight efficacy in humans are severely under-dosed…but you probably didn’t both to do any real research when you were copy and pasting the ingredient info off the Pro Supps website.

I notice most of your reviews are full of false info and vague, misleading statements without sources to back them up. You’re website is aesthetically pleasing but you really need to do a little more research if you’re going to position yourself as someone worth listening to. Thanks.
