If the name Jim Stoppani sounds familiar, that’s because he’s the former Senior Science Editor for Muscle and Fitness and Flex magazines.

On his Youtube channel, Stoppani mentions he created his own supplement line with products like Pre JYM to give his readers specific ingredients at specific dosages so they don’t have to buy all the products separately and mix them.

With a name as big as Jim Stoppani behind Pre JYM, I didn’t want to miss out on my opportunity to review it.

Beyond Bro Science

The first thing worth mentioning about Pre JYM is that it does tell you the exact amount of each ingredient, but what was more impressive for me was all the ingredients are dosed according to their recommended amounts.

I could go down the entire list, but it’s probably easiest to just point to citrulline as an example. Each serving contains a full 6 g of citrulline, which is the minimum amount most experts agree on is effective for increasing muscle pumps.

If there’s a downside to the Pre JYM formula, I would say it’s the caffeine content. It has 300 mg per serving, which is fine if you’re not very sensitive to caffeine. If you are sensitive to stimulants, however, you’re forced to take half a scoop, which means you’re not getting the full amounts of the other ingredients.

Everything But the Kitchen Sink

Pre JYM’s formula actually has just about everything you generally look for in a pre-workout. You’re going to get creatine, beta-alanine, and betaine. The creatine and betaine are going to help increase strength, endurance, and improve overall body composition.

The beta-alanine is the high quality Carnosyn® beta alanine. This is going to improve muscle ph and saturate muscles with carnosine, which delays muscle fatigue and allows you to get more reps.

To boost muscle pumps you’re going to get citrulline and beet root. This is going to flush more oxygenated blood into the muscle, improving strength, endurance and recovery.

To further help with muscle contraction and strength there’s 6 g of branch chain amino acids, and there’s also the compound BioPerine® which enhances absorption of all these ingredients.

My Experience With Pre JYM

On paper Pre JYM is a solid pre-workout. Like I mentioned earlier, it has just about everything you’re looking for in terms of boosting strength, pumps, and focus. However, the citrulline and beet extract just didn’t give me the pump I was looking for.

In terms of strength and focus though I had a great workout, and this is a great pre-workout on a whole. If you’re looking for something that going to deliver a strong pump, you might want to consider a different pre-workout.

Pre JYM For Your Pre Workout

I would definitely recommend trying out Pre JYM for yourself. Everyone responds differently to certain ingredients and dosages, and this one is certainly dosed effectively. Although it didn’t deliver the pumps I would’ve liked, I had a decent amount of strength and great overall workout.
