Liftag’s new pre-workout ULift is one of the few utilitarian supplements promoted to help all-around performance in the gym, and everything from mountain biking to early morning runs.

What they’ve ultimately put together is a pre-workout that pretty much covers all the bases when it comes to exercise performance.

Are There Any Ingredients For Pump?

Liftag ULift
ULift’s formula combines the amino acids citrulline, arginine and agmatine. These function as vasodilators, increasing nitric oxide production and enhancing blood flow for better oxygen and nutrient delivery, and muscle pumps.

Other Performance Boosting Ingredients

Another basic pre-workout ingredient you’re going to find in here is beta alanine. Beta alanine delays muscle fatigue by saturating muscles with carnosine. This acts as a lactic acid buffer and reduces the time it takes to feel the burning sensation in muscles.

There’s also taurine and glutamine to help boost protein synthesis and support better muscle growth and recovery.

Is The Formula Effectively Dosed?

Unfortunately, there are a few ingredients ─ creatine, beta alanine, and glutamine, which are woefully underdosed.

To get the most out of creatine, research suggests supplementing with 3-5 g a day to optimize its performance enhancing effects.[1] Each serving of Ulift only gives you 2 g of creatine monohydrate per serving.

The same goes for beta alanine which should be dosed at 4-6 g for best results,[2] and glutamine which should be dosed at 5 g in order to effectively alleviate delayed onset muscle soreness.[3]

What’s The Best Way To Take ULift?

Liftag Ulift
Taking 2 scoops actually made this a pretty solid pre-workout. An extra scoop kicks up the agmatine to over a gram, which gave me a great pump throughout my workout. I’m also not very sensitive to stimulants, so the additional caffeine was greatly appreciated.

Be prepared to feel a tingling sensation from the beta alanine. This is completely normal, and will go away on its own after a few minutes. However, some people absolutely hate the feeling and steer clear of beta alanine supplements completely.

Taste, Price, and Availability

Most online retailers are currently selling a 30 serving container for $29.99, or about $1 per serving. I love green apple flavored supplements, and wasn’t disappointed with this one at all. I thought it tasted excellent and had no problems drinking it before a workout.

It’s also available in watermelon, fruit punch, and blue raspberry.

Parting Thoughts

For me, ULift didn’t become a decent pre-workout until I upped the dosage to 2 scoops. This gave me a monster pump and I had a really good workout from it.

I would definitely purchase it again on sale, but at its current price it’s just not affordable for me because the additional scoop needed to get full ingredient dosages brings the price per serving up to at least $2.
