BCAA and Glutamine supplements are a dime-a-dozen. FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine stands out from the competition as a two-in-one supplement for increased muscle growth and recovery.

I like BCAA and glutamine products. They’re generally simple, effective, and easy to take. I was excited to try a new approach to these time-tested ingredients.

Under The Lid

Glutamine – 2.5 grams

Glutamine is an essential amino acid, meaning the body is unable to create it from other compounds. It’s also one of the most abundant amino acids found throughout the body and has been shown to increase muscle regeneration and HGH production. [1]

I’ve taken glutamine before, and it definitely makes a difference. FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine contains 2.5 grams, which is rather low. However, it isn’t a glutamine-only product, so I understand the smaller dosage.

BCAAs – 7 grams

Branched-chain amino acids are the core of muscle regeneration and make up more than a third of the compounds necessary for growth.

Multiple studies have examined the positive effects of BCAAs of weight training, showing that they reduce post-exercise stress and boost protein synthesis and energy. [2]

FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine uses a 2:1:1 BCAA ratio, which is an industry standard and proven effective.

Let’s be honest, FitStrong isn’t breaking any new ground here. BCAAs and glutamines are the backbone of muscle growth, and they’ve been used for years.

However, I’m happy to see a simple blend of ingredients. Too many companies seem to include complicated matrixes or long lists. These are simple, proven compounds that don’t need embellishment.

Price and Availability

As is the case with most new products, FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine is available from a very limited selection of retailers.

Of course, you can buy it from the official FitStrong site. It’s listed for $59.99 + shipping.

$2/serving seems a little high, but remember, this is both a BCAA and glutamine supplement. Taking BCAAs and glutamine separately, the traditional way, actually ends up being more expensive.

The only other place I could find FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine was eSupplements.com. They have it for $49.95, with free shipping and a money-back guarantee. That’s a great deal for a new product.

Safety Concerns

I can’t find any warnings for FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine. This isn’t surprising. There aren’t any dangerous ingredients or even caffeine included, so it should be very safe.

Taste And Mixability

FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine tastes great. There’s only one flavor available, juicy watermelon, and I liked it a lot. There wasn’t any aftertaste.

It also mixes well, which is nice. I’ve had a lot of post-workout powders clump or not mix at all, but FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine was very smooth.

The Verdict

I’m a big fan of FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine. It tastes good, the ingredients are great without frills, and the price isn’t too bad.

It’s not often that I find a product that I really want to add to my routine. However, FitStrong BCAA’s + Glutamine is quickly winning me over. I definitely recommend it.
